I wanted to connect a turbo timer to a switch instead of the emergency brake. This seemed like a good location to mount the switch and while I was at it I added a second one for future use.

When autocrossing or at the track I use a DL90 data logger. Instead of reaching behind me to start and stop recording, I adapted a spare DSC switch for the purpose. The label is transparent so it lights up at night.

Another item I use during autocross and track events is a Chase cone-cam to record video. Instead of dealing with car adaptors I added two 12v sockets I can plug the cone-cam and microphone directly into for power.

I wanted to add some gauges for a turbo install but I didn't want to advertise the fact. I decided to mount two Spa Techniques dual gauges in the ashtray that would be hidden when the ashtray cover was flipped down. That meant fabricating a custom gauge holder using the stock ashtray as a base.

Here's a shot of the finished gauge holder prior to painting. I used sheet ABS plastic and bondo to fashion the part. There is plenty of clearance in the car for the gauges to fit.

Here's a driver's view of the gauges installed. Overall I think it turned out nicely.
