Comments from Robin Yang: This was our first major project where the primary construction technique used was fiberglassing. It's a messy and potentially hazardous technique but that's what they used when making the original props and trying to duplicate them in another medium would have been needlessly difficult. The ground pounders wore hockey armor over their flightsuits and that means lots of sweat. Still, the costumes look pretty nice and I'm surprised we don't have more photos of them.
